Storm also took his time to drink a bit, as Hellfyre did the same. They had survived hurdle one... but there was no doubt there would be MORE danger on the way....

Her tongue trailed her lips, it was a chore not to pant, but the least amount of sound she made the better. After that round with the humans, alarming these creatures might not be the wisest move to make. Still, she was parched, and at least needed a drink before carrying on in pursuit of the two brothers. Calmly, she stepped from out of the bushes, providing the least amount of anticipation as possible. Without even glancing at the wolves, she approached the collection of water before leaning forward. Lapping up her share, she remained drinking, content as could be.

Storm suddenly looked up; to his surprise, a large wolf, female, was making her way to the water... pretending they where not even there.
He stared at her. The old Storm would have tried to seduce her, no doubt... but now, with his own mate and pups on the way, his lust to chase after females had cooled down.
Still... he wondered... Who was she? Why was she here...?

As she began drinking, he frowned.
''Hello, there... where did you suddenly come from?'' He smiled. ''A.. Are you familiar around these mountains...?''
If she was... maybe she could help them!!

A male suddenly began to speak to her, her eyes opened from their previous content state. Bright blue eyes drifted over toward the crowd of wolves. The male continued to ask her questions, where she came from, did she live here, sheesh this male wanted a lifelong story didn’t he. Well, she couldn’t possibly expect them to simply ignore her presence. His last question seemed to hint that these three were lost, and she especially took attention to the female expecting a littler. She would be heartless to leave a pregnant female to roam lost.

“Yes…I belong to a pack not far from here.” she responded, slowly approaching them.

“I also saw you having some trouble with those humans awhile back.” she stated.

"You do belong to a pack? Could you possibly take us there? So we could possibly take shelter for the evening?" She asked, raising her head up and looking at her. If this female could help them out, she would be eternally grateful. Starbeam slowly rose up from where she lay and swaggered over to the female."So what can we call you by? My name is starbeam, this here, asking you all these questions is my mate storm, and this other fellow here is hellfyre." She sat on her haunches and let out a small grown of pain, feeling the puppies moving around within her. She couldn't wait to have them! She continued to stare at the female and gave her a warm smile as she waited for her answer.

The sudden appearance of a new femme made Hellfyre raise a brow slightly. A newcomer to the area? No.. it seemed it was someone who knew the area.. and pretty well. "Well well, hello there lady." Hellfyre mentioned as he came beside Storm, and Starbeam. He was a bit not approving of being introduced, but he let it slide. "Yeah, like she said; Hellfyre."

But when this wolf mentioned of a pack.. there went chances blowing by. This wolf probably had a mate then or something. It was better to let it be now than anything; plus he might get his ass kicked if she was able to take out the humans that'd been after them beforehand.. Even though they really weren't a true threat since Hell did a little bit of damage to one of them. Strong, and noble. Something Hellfyre liked in a woman. He too waited for her name, plus, an invitation to the pack? That would be awesome!

Storm listened as Starbeam asked her questions, and Hellfyre waited patiently. They both seemed interested to meet her pack... and if he was honest... so was he. A pack that knew these lands could a great help to them!! In fact... maybe they would know Ace, or maybe they had seen him somewhere....?

He took a pawstep forward. He didn't want to repeat Star's questions, but he waited eagerly for the female's response...

Rowena stared at the female; her face seemed to soften more in her direction then to the others. Something about a pregnant femme loosened her rough exterior; they had already been through enough hardship. Watching her as she approached, the poor soul staggered slightly, obviously due to the weight her unborn pups were placing upon her. She questioned her on whether she was a member of a pack, just perfect. She didn’t mind guiding them, but new additions to her pack always unsettled her. Still, she was constantly told my Albion that the more wolves in their family the better. Plus, they truly needed shelter, and she supposed new additions, or simply waunders couldn’t do much harm. Yet after the incident with their late alpha son, Rowena had become less trusting of strays entering the pack.

Her eyes darted toward the male who referred to her as lady. If she was not technically a femme, she would be insulted, her tomboy like nature sometimes confused her; it made her feel more malelike at times. Still, recalling the males strength, she did allow a seductive grin to pass her face, males with power made her feel respected. Plus, strong males had potential to be more of an equal, rather than someone she had to babysit, like some other wolves she had questioned harboring feelings for. Assuming her smile said all that needed to be said to this wolf, she spoke out on the secondary topic.

“I do in fact, the name’s Rowena, Beta Rowena. I suppose I could lead you to my alpha, it is ultimately his decision, but knowing him I think he will lend you a cave for the time.” she replied.

Her tone seemed to sour slightly near the end, yet she meant no offence toward them in particular. Just after Alys’ impact on the pack, brought on by the travelers Free and Triple Six, as record showed outsiders could be trouble. Yet seriously, she doubted wolves traveling with a pregnant female would be of much threat, and again ‘the more the merrier’ as they said. If she wanted Craterstone to rise in power, more allies would be wise. So, shaking off her minor discomfort, she turned on her heels and stared back at them.

“If you all would follow me, Starbeam, Storm and Hellfyre, I shall take you to Craterstone.” she replied, a more content smile on her face as she began a comfortable pace forward. Her instincts ordered her to pull back and stay close to the femme bearing pups. She was the one in more dire need of protection from an escort.

“So what brings you here anyway, since you obviously aren’t locals?” she asked, her tone mild, though retaining its powerful tone.

As the three had waited for this wolf's name, Hellfyre had begun scratching behind his torn ear. Her name stated while he dug in his ear was Rowena... Beta Rowena. Instantly Hellfyre's leg dropped before he looked Rowena's way. "Beta? You're the beta of the pack?!" he asked, astonished for a moment before smirking. "Well well! Strong, and high ranked! Amazing. You really are a great lady, Beta Rowena." Hellfyre commented.

Three strikes for the better! She was strong, a beta of a pack, and capable of big damage! All right, Hellfyre scored big time it seemed.

Craterstone was their pack name. Huh.. he kind of wanted to know why it was called that.. Never heard a pack name like that before, that was for sure. As they'd started to walk on, Hellfyre continued to stride along and glance around from time to time.. ears perked as they went. She'd asked about why they'd been in this area..

Hellfyre shrugged. "I 'unno really bout myself, I kinda just bumped into those two." Hellfyre mentioned. "They said they were lookin' for a friend. Maybe ya've seen him? They said he was big.. and, black. Any guys look like that recently Beta Rowena?" Hellfyre asked as they walked along.

Star listened as rowena talked, and a surprised look came to her face as she found out that they were talking to the beta of the pack!" Your the beta? Wow, what a responsibility." If her alpha did lend them a cave for the night, she would be grateful, cause she didn't know how much further she could go today, especially with these pups about to arrive." Please, rowena, could you possibly take us to your alpha? I would like to speak to him if you don't mind." She said raising her head a little.

Starbeam began to follow rowena, at a slow pace, and was grateful that she wasn't going too fast. And that she was sticking by her side, almost like she was protecting her." Thanks again for taking us to see craterstone. I'm sure he would lend us a cave for at least a night. Cause I am getting kinda tired." she said as she swaggered along, her belly swinging back and forth. The sooner they would get to the packlands, the sooner she could rest her paws, and her aching body. These pups were getting too much for her! She just wanted them to be born already!" Storm, these pups are really starting to get heavy on me..." she panted looking over her shoulder at him. She was starting to get a cramp in her lower back and she slowed her pace even more, trying to ease the pain." So how much further is it rowena?"

Storm looked from one to the other as they talked. A real Beta... they had bumped into the beta of a pack!!
She seemed... well, a little rough around the edges. But she was friendly... and she was willing to help.
He smiled; staying with their pack would probably be great for Starbeam, now that she was about to have pups soon.
They could always continue their search if she felt up to it... or just stay at the Craterstone pack for as long as they'd have them.

It seemed even Hellfyre was pleased with the thought of following her. And thus, he got up and followed too, as Hellfyre began to explain to Rowena about their quest.

Staying near Starbeam, he smiled. Rowena seemed also willing to protect her... which was a great relief. He wasn't the best fighter, and he wanted the best for her....

''Thanks for having us... I hope we won't be too much of a bother.'' He said, bowing his head slightly to Rowena. He was always taught to respect the high ranked, and show it.

" Storm, these pups are really starting to get heavy on me..." she panted looking over her shoulder at him. She was starting to get a cramp in her lower back and she slowed her pace even more, trying to ease the pain." So how much further is it rowena?"

He gave a worried look towards Starbeam. ''Are they acting up, darling?'' He frowned a little. ''You don't suppose.... they're coming already...?''
He stared at her round belly. If the pups would be born soon... it was double lucky that they had bumped into Rowena....
