+Appearance+
Sharpie inherited his mother's dark jade green markings just like all his other siblings and half siblings, as well as her pelt pattern. His tawny colour, however, came from his father.
Both his parents were a mix of Timber and Arctic wolf, giving him a relatively tall height and a fair bit of muscle on him. His legs are long, thick and strong and make him a powerful runner, as well as a good fighter. As a 'memento' of one of the many scraps he's gotten into over the years, he has a rather prominent scar running across his left cheek. It distorts his left eye slightly so it looks like he is scowling, however the intimidating look soon disappears when he smiles.
+Personality+
The Leader of the Pack
Sharpie is, for the most part, a level-headed male with a strong sense of leadership. He's a true team player who will always strive to ensure the entire pack is healthy and happy. On some occasions he will snap, particularly if his authority as Alpha is challenged unnecessarily, and he has been known to attack wolves who push him too far. His temper, while it takes a while to flare up, is quite vicious, violent and sadistic when roused.
Sharpie is known amongst his packmates as a 'hopeless romantic'. He falls in love with any female wolf he meets, and often allows them to make fools of him because of it. Because he finds it difficult to focus his affections on just one girl, he has yet to secure a mate - although the fact he is single and leading a pack on his own doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest.
Around other wolves Sharpie is calm, confident and likes to find out all he can about strangers - he asks them as many questions as he sees fit, and makes a judgement on their character from the answers he receives.
+History+
Considering his mother hadn't a clue who his father was, there's no chance in hell of Sharpie ever knowing him. He and his littermates were raised on their own, and after a very harsh season with little prey he was the only one to survive.
Once he was independent enough to not have to rely on his mother for food and support, she went looking for a mate again, and found one without too much hassle. Initially, ten month old Sharpie highly disliked his mother's choice of mate, not just because he was 'treading on his territory', but also partially out of fear. Duke, his new step father, was pretty damn big, easily far taller than both Sharpie and his mother which lead to the youngster feeling very intimidated.
The sting of not being the only male in his mother's life left when she gave birth to her new litter. He wasn't allowed near them for a few weeks, until they were old enough to venture out on their own. He helped Duke to hunt and provide for the pups and their mother, and when they were old enough he helped to teach them the basics of hunting and tracking with the aid of their parents.
By the time the new litter had reached sexual maturity, Sharpie had found a very close friend amongst the youngsters - Harper. Despite being much larger and a more capable hunter and fighter than his older sibling, Harper still listened to Sharpie, took his advice and allowed him to help him whenever he needed tips. Once their mother went into heat again the pair set off together to find themselves a territory and start a pack.
They didn't bargain on winding up with half as many members as they did.

Harper is very large for a wolf, owing his considerable size both to a healthy diet as a youngster and tall parents. While a lot of his weight is muscle, a fair bit of it is also fat, thanks to his enormous appetite.
His fur pattern is similar to his mother's, and he has a few jade-green markings like her, however his main fur colour comes from his father. If you didn't know any better, you wouldn't think he and Sharpie were half-brothers, given that they're a completely different colour to each other, and Harper is far bulkier than his older sibling.
+Personality+
The Braun of the Pack
Harper is probably best described as a gentle giant. He is always happy to help another wolf in need, and adores young pups. He'll cheer up anyone who's down, and makes quite a good shoulder to cry on. He's certainly very attached to his family, and would defend them to the death if it was necessary.
His main flaw in his personality would perhaps be his strong self-pride - if someone insults him he doesn't forget it, and if the action they took against him in spiteful enough he will strive to make them pay...or at least make their day uncomfortable for a bit.
Harper is very, very talkative. Like his half-brother Sharpie, he'll interrogate stranger wolves very thoroughly until he's sure they're safe and allowed to stick around, or a danger and chased off. Being the braun of the pack, it's normally his job to see to it that unwanted tag-alongs are dealt with, and he gets a kick out of chasing coyotes and cocky wolves out of the territory with their tails tucked between their legs.

Pheo is a relatively handsome, athletically built young male in his prime. He has golden fur, which comes from his mother, and green markings that come from his father's side of the family - the same as his cousins Sharpie and Harper have, only in a lighter shade.
He has long, quite slender legs which make him a fast runner, and a keen sense of smell and good eyesight which make him an excellent tracker.
+Personality+
The Tracker of the Pack
Pheo is the sort of wolf that, for the majority of the time, doesn't think with his head, but rather with what's between his legs. At the first scent of a female he starts panting, and he often winds himself up in trouble by trying to mate with other pack's females, or by mating with lone females who Sharpie and/or Harps haven't thoroughly checked out yet.
His constant lust aside, Pheo is a playful, often sarcastic male who likes to make jokes at other's expense, and spends a lot of time mucking around. He's funny, but not to the point where he's the pack clown - while he can come across as a fool, jump to conclusions and make some horrific mistakes, he's by no means stupid. He's an excellent tracker, hunter and navigator - he's managed to memorise every constellation there is, and can easily use them to find his way back home if necessary. His arrogance and determination to always be right makes him look like quite the smart-alec, something that occasionally grates on the other pack members' nerves.
Perhaps the one point in his personality that really lets him down would be how judgemental and demanding he can be, especially when his sexist attitude and inferiority complex are combined together. While he doesn't mind Harper and Sharpie having a go at him, he can't abide members of the pack lower in rank to him - or any female - challenging him or showing him up. He can get very violent if his subordinates don't do as he says, and can be very aggressive around females to the point where he's quite rough with them, and often doesn't realise he's hurting them. He will also sulk if the pack doesn't do what he thinks is best, even though the majority of his plans, schemes and suggestions are too far-fetched or reckless for the pack to follow through with.
+History+
Pheo's birth pack was quite large, especially considering the majority of the members were unrelated - and none of them related in any way to the Alpha pair.
His parents, the leaders of the pack, had been looking to have pups for some time, and when the perfect season came Pheo and his siblings were born.
Their father was very strict, setting clear boundaries for them in the territory to prevent them from getting into trouble or getting lost/separated. While his two brothers quite happily abided by these rules, Pheo took great pleasure in breaking them and getting himself into whatever mischief he could. He even began to challenge other pack members for their ranks and cause trouble amongst the pack.
His parents tolerated his reckless and trouble-making habits for a while, certain it was something he'd grow out of. However when reached sexual maturity, and instead of calming down got worse, they made the final decision to give him a serious talking to. He was faced with a choice: stay in the pack as an omega and stay out of trouble, or be kicked out and banished from coming back.
Pheo was pressurised by his brothers into choosing the latter, and with the arrogance most young males setting out to make a life for themselves have, he left the pack and headed out on his own. He travelled for a while, just about managing to make do without a pack to support him, until he met Lawrence.
The pair disliked each other at first, but formed a reluctant alliance over the winter months so that it would be easier to hunt and survive. During this time they grew to be very close friends, and when spring came and prey was in abundance again, they decided to stick together.
They roamed for a year or so, steering clear of other packs territories to save themselves any hassle, until they managed to stumble unknowingly into the Soutex pack's land. Confronted with Sharpie, Harper and Vane, the pair somehow managed to talk themselves into joining the pack. They settled in quickly, Lawrence adopting the position of Sentinel and Pheo, much to his delight, being given position as Beta after proving himself to be a valuable and talented member of the pack (as well as being recognised as Harper and Sharpie's cousin).

Lawrence's fur is a mixture of varying shades of brown with darker point on his nose, ears and the tip of his tail and dark burned-orange eyes. He's medium-built and roughly average size.
Lawrence also has a very strong Scottish accent, which can make him difficult to understand at times (unless whoever he's addressing can understand the accent/has the same one themself).
+Personality+
The Peacemaker of the Pack
Lawrence is a very calm, collected and friendly wolf. He hardly ever gets angry, which can be frustrating for others who are trying to wind him up to no avail. The only wolf that ever seems able to get on his nerves is Pheo, who talks to him like he's a piece of dirt, but even then he is normally quick to forgive him as he pities him for his constant need for entertainment and socialisation being interpreted as goofiness, attention-seeking and acting like a lust-struck idiot. That, and they have been friends for quite a long time.
Lawrence is very good at reasoning with others and resolving conflicts, hence his position in the pack as a Sentinel - someone who steps in when fights do occur, and helps in making decisions when it's difficult to do so. He's level-headed, easy going and is quite happy to go along with whatever the pack decides. He knows his place, and is content with it, so it's only on very rare occasions that he ever sees fit to challenge someone of a higher rank than him, and that's normally only if he thinks they're putting the rest of the pack in danger.
+History+
Lawrence grew up in the mountainous areas of Hekaya in a tightly knit family. When he came of age he left with his three brothers, and they roamed together, able to work as a team to bring down prey and defend a big enough territory to sustain them all.
In turn each of his brothers found mates and separated to start a family. Lawrence managed to make do on his own for a while, but come the winter months he began to struggle. Luckily enough for him he found another lone wolf having just as much difficulty as he did, and they paired up to hunt through the harsh season.

Ru is quite a small, petite wolf. Despite her size, she's still quite strong, and she's very nimble on her feet. To look at she isn't much: her fur is a mixture of shades of browns, with no extraordinary markings. Overall she's very plain looking.
+Personality+
The Hunter of the Pack
Despite not being the only hunter in the pack, Ru really shines as one. She's efficient, quick and, surprisingly enough for her size, very strong.
Ru thinks strategically - any decision she makes has been thought about long and hard before being carried out, and she likes to plot and scheme. If she sets herself a goal, she'll try her hardest to make that dream a reality - in her current situation, her main goal is to get Pheo to recognise her as his mate. So far she's made little progress.
Ru is very motherly - she makes sure each part of the kill is divided up equally among her packmates, and looks after the young and more timid wolves to ensure they get their fair share of food. While she misses her birth pack, she enjoys life in the Soutex, and has grown to trust and care for all members of the pack - even the ones that are difficult to get along with. She doesn't judge anyone on their appearance, past or first impressions, and therefore finds herself quickly surrounded by new friends wherever she goes.
+History+
Ru's birth pack often struggled to feed itself. The pups were born in the middle of winter, into a territory that could just about sustain them. Barely a few days after they had managed to find their feet and toddle around, Ru and her brother were told they had to leave the safety of their den and travel with their parents to new territory. They became nomadic, moving with the herds of their prey and barely staying in an area for more than a few months.
A month or so after Ru's first birthday, her family came across another pack of wolves. They shared the same territory for a while, just about managing to tolerate each other's company, and when the two packs parted their way again to go in search of a new patch of land to claim, Ru went with the stranger pack - the Soutex.
The first friend she made amongst the wolves was Lawrence, who made sure she settled in just fine. Little did she know that he was desperately in love with her - and by her in turn falling head-over-heels for Pheo, she'd caused a rift to form between the two wolves who had once been very close friends.
Up to now, she hasn't encountered her family again despite her wishing and willing her to just so she can see how they're doing and so they can see how comfortable she is with her new pack.

Vane likes to think of himself as being handsome, and get's insulted if others think differently. Build wise he's roughly average height with just the right amount of weight on him. He's muscular, but not overly so, with strong jaws and powerful forequarters that make him a good fighter. His eyes, in contrast to his blue-grey coat, are a deep red - they certainly help to make his glares all the more intimidating.
+Personality+
The Backbone of the Pack
Vane is the most violent member of the pack, with a foul temper on him and a very dominant attitude. He likes newcomers to know their place - which in his opinion, is below him - and is very easily offended if others tease him or don't like him straight off. However, he is very protective of his pack, even if some of the members don't like him, and he takes his position as Guard very seriously. When he's not making sure everyone's pulling their weight and doing their job, he's normally patrolling the territory or advising Sharpie on how things should be done (even though the advice isn't appreciated).
On first impressions Vane appears to be an efficient, confident, outgoing male who is liked by his superiors and trusted by his subordinates. After a while of knowing him, however, his true colours begin to show. Vane is ambitious - dangerously so - and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He will kill other wolves, he will stir up trouble and he will put himself first if it'll help him achieve his goals. His plans for the pack are a bit more stretched than Sharpie's, which often leaves the pair disagreeing over decisions that will affect the group.
Vane isn't particularly in touch with his feelings. He's often confused over whether or not he likes or dislikes a wolf if they're in that 'grey area' of a relationship - though there are those he actively hates and loves, of course. He's also uncertain of what he wants in a mate, or even if he's bothered about having one for that matter, so when he thinks he's in love with a she-wolf he normally doubts himself. He'll dote on her nevertheless, anyway. Despite his temper and overly aggresive nature, he can be romantic when he wants to be. If he genuinely thinks he cares about a girl, he'll bring her gifts, share his meals with her and constantly watch her back in case another male tries to harm her (or worse, have her for his own).
+History+
Not much is known about Vane's history, as he dislikes to share it with others. What is known, however, is that he didn't get along with his parents, siblings or the other members of his birth pack, so he left when he was barely a year old. Spending that amount of time on his own has hardened him, and Sharpie reluctantly allowed him into the pack when they bumped into a 3 year old Vane. He proved himself to be a hardworker, a loyal member and an efficient hunter and defender, and so was given the position of Guard once he'd gained the trust of his leader and Beta.
Vane was content for a while until the Soutex encountered Pheo and Lawrence. To say he was unhappy about a stranger becoming Beta would be an understatement. He'd have killed Pheo by now if it wasn't for the fact he did, actually, have some sort of use to the pack - reckless behaviour and sarcastic comments aside.

The easiest way to tell the twins apart, other than the fact that Gilpin is taller than Nate by several centimetres, is that their eye colours are reversed. While Gilpin's eyes are a golden colour with a blue fleck in the right one, Nate has blue eyes with a golden fleck in his right one. Nate is also thinner than Gilpin, who is more filled out, and has a chunk of his right ear missing from when he succeeded in aggrivating Vane enough to have him bite it off.
+Personality+
GILPIN -- The Labourer of the Pack
Gilpin, unlike his brother Nate, is easy-going and hard-working. He sees nothing wrong with spending a long day digging new dens, hunting food, marking out the territory or scouting for prey, better land and stranger wolves, and does every single task efficiently and to a high standard.
He's well liked amongst the pack, as everyone knows he can be counted on to pull his weight, and will carry out any task set to him. He's the main labourer of the group - if Sharpie or one of the Betas tells him to do something he will get it done, no questions asked, no matter what the job is. He'd forfeit everything to ensure the survival of his pack, including his own happiness - they'd taken him in when he needed help the most, and he'd do anything to show his gratitude.
Gilpin, when not busying himself with some chore or another, is a very friendly, cheerful wolf. He'll talk to anyone, and will never turn down an invitation to a game of tag or something of the like. He's good with pups, and intends to have some of his own some day. He finds it a great pleasure to sit and spin them stories with his wild imagination.
NATE -- The Underdog of the Pack
Nate is more highly strung than his twin, and spends a lot of his time arguing with his betters and elders, and challenging authority. He doesn't understand or agree with the basic idea that working as a team is key to a pack's survival, and makes sure everyone else in the pack knows this by constantly contesting them. Though clearly his constant challenging of his superiors hasn't got him anywhere, since he is still the Omega of the pack.
Like his twin, Nate has a very vivid imagination. He likes to make up stories to entertain pack members, and often makes others laugh by dreaming up the strangest of ideas. While he isn't a very good hunter, nor does he have brute strength or keen intelligence on his side, Nate is very creative and optimistic, and often offers good solutions to problems the other members in the pack can't fix. Yes, he is looked down on by his leaders as the underdog as the pack, but he's still a much-loved and valued member.
+History+
Nate and Gilpin grew up nearby humans. While this sometimes made it easier to get food, as sheep made easy prey in comparison to deer, it also meant they were at constant threat from hunters and farmers who didn't appreciate their livestock being killed.
When the twins were a year old they had their first proper hunt on their own. They chose a local farmer's flock of sheep as their prey, and managed to bring down one each. Unfortunately having to drag back a sheep each on their own slowed them down, and the farmer, having heard the commotion, managed to catch up with them and was intent on putting a bullet in both of their skulls. Their parents, assuming something was wrong because the pair were taking so long, went to look for them, and seeing their sons fleeing for their lives with a farmer hot on their heels, the sheep they'd killed left behind without a second thought, they rushed in to defend them.
Their parents, however, only succeeded in getting in the farmer's bullets' paths, and both were shot dead before Gilpin and his twin managed to reach the safety of the tree line.
His grandparents used themselves as decoys to distract the farmer and allow their grandsons to get away. All were shot in turn. Gilpin and Nate, blinded by fear and anger, kept running until they put as much distance between themselves and the village as possible.
They lay in hiding for a few days, finally regaining their senses and coming to terms with the fact that their pack had been killed off and they were now on their own. They eventually set off in search of food and better shelter, however their lack of hunting practice and size and strength meant taking down prey was difficult. They soon began to starve.
Luck struck, however, when they came across a half-eaten deer carcass and they devoured as much of it as they could. Little did they know that they were being watched. Just as they were finishing the meal, they were ambushed by three male wolves. After a lot of explaining and pleading, they took pity on the twins and took them into their pack, hunting extra food for a while to build their strength back up. Gilpin easily fell into place as a Hunter/Scout for the Soutex pack, their "new family", while his brother struggled to grow strong again and gain a rank, and so fell into the position of Omega.

Carlin is a slender, attractive young female who's fur is a mixture of different shades of terracotta. She has bright yellow-gold eyes and quite a narrow face. To add to her steamlined, thin build are also her long legs, which add to her height quite a bit.
+Personality+
The Flirt of the Pack
Carlin is a bit of a flirt. She doesn't lead males on just to let them down, but she does like to sample potential partners before choosing one. It's not because she likes to spread herself around, merely that if she's going to chose someone to spend her life and have pups with, she wants to make sure she's made the right decision.
Carlin faces most other things in life with the same attitude - trial and error. If something doesn't work at first she'll move on and try another method - and she'll keep doing that until she finds a solution. While she can be pessimistic in her approach to things sometimes, she keeps at things until she solves them. Along with her determination to solve problems and get things done, she's also determined to rise up in the ranks and lead her own pack one day. While she doesn't want to see Sharpie lose his leadership of the pack to another male, she doesn't want to hang around as a Hunter for the rest of her life. If a better answer to her mate and rank problem comes along, or Sharpie finds a mate instead of choosing her, she'd gladly leave the pack and try and satisfy her needs elsewhere. She doesn't have the attachment to the pack that the other members do, so has no real reason to stick around if life with them doesn't suit her any more.
+History+
Carlin's birth pack was very small - it consisted of just her and her parents. She was provided with all she needed, and once she was old enough, and her parents wanted to have another litter, she set off with only one thing on her mind - find a mate, and have pups.
She was on her own for barely a month when she met the Soutex, and they gladly took her in. Happy she wasn't the only female in the pack she was content to work as a Hunter for the time being, though made sure she was always in Sharpie's favour in the hope that he might make her his mate. Although she gets on best with Gilpin and Nate, she doesn't see either of them as mate material - that and she doubts either of them would ever have the guts to propose the idea to her anyway, so they're a bit of a lost hope.
