(Of course, she doesn't run around naked... ;) She normally wears her army clothing.)

Basics

Name: Demi
Nickname(s):
Species: Jibwa Kiumbe (literal meaning; Big dog creature)
Gender: :female:
Age: 26
Height: 1,72 m
Weight: 56 kg

Rank: Soldier
Location: ?

Mate/Crush: None yet
Offspring: None yet

Appearance

Demi is a rather slender, feminine female with all the right muscle in the right places. She's not bulky, and even though she couldn't fight a male in direct combat on brute strength, has some nice techniques and enough muscle to do those.

She's white and grey, with some darker fur on her back and tail and dark, short hair that's a little longer in her neck, with slightly longer bangs.
Demi is a mutt with quite some husky blood, hence her looks. But she always tells others she's a wolf, since she's often mocked if she admits that she's in fact a dog. She has a layer of undercoat and a stiffer outercoat.

Demi is well adapted for any climate; in summer, she sheds heavily and looses almost all her undercoat. In winter, she becomes extremely fluffy and poofy, which everyone often thinks of as cute.

Since Demi is not too tall or big, she doesn't impress anyone on sight. In fact, people easily understimate her.
But she has great legs for running, long and muscled.

She always travels light. She wears a dogtag because the army made her, but she's grown font of it. She doesn't have any other jewelery, and she likes the silver. Except for that, she doesn't really have any personal belongings.

Personality

Demi is a rather insecure girl, who tends to make up for that with a cool aditude and big mouth. She doesn't like to let people come to close, but at the same time, desperately wishes for a real companion and friend. She can fend for herself and she knows it, but she has been in situations where others made her life hell, like her father and her first sergeant. She doesn't like to be around the guys too much and often keeps to herself, hoping she won't stand out. She would easier try to befriend the girls.

She never had any real friends so far, and she has learned to only trust herself. She never had a boyfriend either; her dad always brought her down, and she doesn't really believe anyone will have serious interest in her, anyway.

Strong points:

- Infantry; great shooter, even at a distance.

Weak points:

- Not good in man-to-man combat; she has some techniques to keep people of her back and can defend herself well, but she doesn't like to fight and kill that way, and is afraid to get hurt herself. Thus, since she never ''finishes'' her enemy if it comes to that, she'll be in danger. She needs to learn this.

Weapons of choice:

Since Demi likes to travel as light as possible and keep her distance from the actual enemy. Since is an infantrist as well as a good shooter, she only carries a M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle

History (Warning; LONG. ;))

Demi's mother, Snow, had always wanted children. Her father, Ruko, however, never wanted them. Snow and Ruko where a very oldfashioned couple, and Ruko was the boss of the house. Snow always did as he said, and did everything to please him. Thus, Snow was always on birthcontrol, especially since Ruko himself did nothing when it came to birthcontrol and refused to ever use condoms.

One day, Snow's birthcontrol failed. She quickly discovered she was pregnant, and stopped using her birthcontrol right away.
She was beyond herself with joy, but Ruko was not. He asked for her to abort the child.
For the first time in her life, Snow stood up to him. She refused to have an abortion; the child was to come, wether he liked it or not!!

Forced to accept her decision, Ruko ignored her during the first months of her pregnancy.

When Snow was 6 months pregnant, an elder friend of Ruko's came by when Snow was out. He told Ruko about his son, who had managed to find himself a very good job and living, and bragged about how proud he was of his heir.

At that moment, Ruko suddenly realized that he too could have a son... an heir, a boy to make him proud, to be just like his old man. He began to come to terms with the fact that Snow was pregnant, now that the prospect of a son came to mind.

When he came home from work the next day, Snow was very pleasantly surprised when he asked how she was feeling. She was overjoyed to find him finally showing some interest. Relieved that he seemed to accept the fact that they where having a baby, she slept better that night then she ever had.

Unfortunately, the next day, Ruko's intentions became clear.

Ruko came home from work, and brought home a beautiful little wooden toy car, in a shining red color, and told Snow it would be the first toy for ''their son''.

Snow's hopes where smashed with those words; Ruko didn't accept the fact that they where having a BABY... he wanted a SON. And nothing but a son.

She explained to him that there was no telling what gender the child would be, but Ruko wouldn't listen. He said he was absolutely sure that he would have a son, and didn't want to hear anymore about it.

Of course, the rest of the pregnancy was hell for poor Snow.
She became more and more desperate each day, and even began to pray for the child to be a boy... a son.
And as she did, she felt terribly guilty... feeling like she was betraying her own baby, like she wouldn't want a daughter. Because to her, it didn't matter what gender the baby would be... but her husband would only accept a boy.

As the birthing date came close, Ruko got restless. But unfortunately for him, the day came and passed, and the baby was not born.

With each passing day, Ruko became more agitated. He was unpleasant to Snow and complained about the baby taking so damned long.
Snow just accepted it all, and didn't allow his terrible mood to bring her down.

A week later, Snow finally went into labor.
She was taken to the hospital. Ruko waited outside, like all men did in those times.

After a long and hard labor, Snow finally gave birth to a healthy baby girl... a small, but chubby pup.
She cried with happiness as the baby was given to her; she couldn't have loved her more from the very first sight....

But the beautiful moment was quickly broken as Ruko stormed in, clutching the toy car firmly in his hand, exclaiming; ''Where is he?? Where's my son, where's my boy?!!''

As the doctor calmly informed him the baby was a girl, and that he had just became the father or a beautiful daughter, Ruko froze.

Snow held the child close, protectively, as Ruko rushed their way. He quickly lifted the little blanket covering the child, and as he was faced with the facts, he dropped the toy car and stomped out of the room, without saying another word.

Snow never forgave him for that.

Years went by, and Demi grew into the most loveable little girl anyone could ever ask for.
She was always sweet and wellbehaved, and never caused her parents any trouble. Snow loved her daughter dearly, but Ruko didn't care for her at all.
It was so bad, that Snow wasn't even allowed to buy her daughter a doll. Ruko snarled to her that there would be no pampering, and no babying. Demi didn't need to be spoiled! Thus, Snow bought her daughter a little toy bunny. While Ruko complained a while about ''expensive gifts for nothing'', Snow didn't care when she saw her little girl being overjoyed with her toy.
She stated to her husband that she could practise hunting with it, since it was a prey toy. Ruko said nothing.

But Demi also played with the red toy car, much to her father's annoyance. It had been her first and only toy, and she loved it. She also loved her father... despite the fact that he didn't love her at all.

The older Demi got, the more of a tomboy she became. She often played with the boys, wrestling and playing outside all the time. Because of this, Snow kept her hair rather short, which was much more convenient for her. She still wears her hair short to this day.
She did her best to please her father, but never managed to make him happy. She did wonderfully at school and had good grades.
And she loved her mother more then anything in the world...

When Demi became a teenager, all the other girls where slowly being allowed to date. Unfortunately, she was not. Ruko wanted her in plain sight and at home, doing chores.
Snow felt for her daughter, but Demi never complained. She didn't really mind much, she liked being around her mother!
She finally finished school with great grades, but there was no money to allow her to study any further. And Ruko had been angry enough about the costs of schooling already....

One day... it all went wrong.

When Demi was twentyfive, the war had already broken loose. She was still living with her parents, mostly because Ruko wanted her around to do the chores in the house and work for him. Living that sheltered life, she was not used to much.

That terrible day, the soldiers came to their home.
They screamed at them, brought Snow and her daughter to tears and finally knocked Ruko unconcious as he demanded for them to leave his home.

Demi was forced to see them drag away her mother. She screamed in terror, called out for her... but it was no use.
Snow fought them with all her might, but mother and daughter where seperated....

When Ruko finally woke up, he was furious and blamed Demi for everything, mainly for not being able to defend Snow.
Demi was shocked and sad, and the harsh words of her father only made it worse.

In the days that followed, things got out of hand.
Demi worked as hard for him as always, but Ruko kept blaming her for the capture of Snow, day in, day out. And without the loving support of her mother, Demi finally snapped under the constant bullying.

Furiously, she finally stood up to her father. She told him the truth; that she couldn't have prevented Snow being taken, and how she had tried. That she didn't understand WHY he hated her so... and that she had always tried to make him happy.

Ruko completely lost hit. He slammed his daughter to the ground, screamed at her, and told her his own truth. How unwanted she had been, how he had NEVER wanted a child, how he had longed for a SON, and what a disappointment she had been ever since she was born. How he wished he had killed her himself that day....

Like that wasn't worst enough, he grabbed her beloved childhood toy, the little car, and slammed it to bits.

With a cry of fear, pain and sadness, Demi scrambled to her feet, rushed to grab her last possesion in the world; her most beloved little toy bunny, the last thing she had from her mother. Then, she ran out of the house.

When she returned late that night, cold and wet from staying out in the rain for hours, Ruko awaited her. He hit her some more, then forced her into the car.... and drove her right towards the militairy base. Demi was told to wait in the car, as Ruko went inside.
When he returned, he told her this was her new ''home'' now. He grabbed her arm, pulled her out of the car, and told her never to return home...

After that, he just left her there, and drove off.

Too shocked by everything that had happend in such a short time, Demi could do nothing but watch him drive away....

She was in the militairy.

She quickly discovered that all her paychecks would be send straight towards her father. But there was little she could do about it... at least, not for now.
She had nothing left. No clothing, no personal belongings... no friends, no family. Only her little bunny, the last reminder of her mother.

The next day... training began.

Militairy record:

Demi quickly decovered how much she hated the militairy. Fighting was not her thing... and to make matters worse, she was the only female in her group.
Her sergeant had a thing for her; he often tried to touch her in the most inappropriate of places, hold her... he was intimidating and threathning. He was much harder to her then to anyone else. He would beat her up more then the other recruits, he would choose her more often as an unwilling volunteer...

Because of all this, she learned fast. She had to become good at what she did... or he would keep touching her.

But one day, her sergeant told her to stay after training.
She already knew that meant trouble, but she couldn't think of a reason why. She hadn't done anything wrong lately, has she...??

He asked to to show him her progress. Made her do several things, and in the end... he wanted to see how she'd keep an enemy of her back in man-to-man combat. He knew this was her weakest point... and she knew why he wanted it.

He attacked; she tried to defend himself.
But she was no match for her sergeant, whom she was not allowed to hurt. He finally wrestled her to the ground, forced himself onto her, managed to get between her legs... held her and began to tug at her pants, and his own....

She had never been so scared.
She probably would have been raped, if it hadn't been for the sudden interruption by a First Sergeant.

Her sergeant quickly got off of her, acting like nothing had happend. His face hardened as he was told that the recruits would be send off to another base... off to war.

To Demi, it was the best news she had had in a long time!!!
She was ready for war....
